Impact Starts With Opportunity
Every child deserves the chance to succeed. Last year, we provided academic support, mentorship, and life-changing opportunities to over 4,000 students across San Joaquin County. When our students grow in confidence, skills, and connection, our entire community grows with them.

A Semester Snapshot of Student Growth & Academic Support
Our TEACH Impact Reports provide a clear, semester-by-semester view of the academic support delivered to students through our tutoring program. Covering each semester, this report highlights the essential metrics that reflect the reach and effectiveness of TEACH in our local schools.
These reports highlight the total number of dedicated hours our tutors spent supporting academically, how many students received one-on-one tutoring during the semester, the number of community volunteers who generously contributed their time to help students learn and grow, and the school locations where our tutoring program was offered.
These numbers show how TEACH continues to strengthen academic support for students in our community—one hour, one tutor, and one student at a time.
Succes Stories
Meet Kayden
Kayden, a bright and determined 3rd grader, joined our TEACH Tutoring Program feeling unsure about his schoolwork—especially when it came to reading. Even so, he arrived eager to learn and quickly realized that lessons could be enjoyable with a tutor who brings energy and creativity to every session.
Although reading has been his biggest challenge, math is where Kayden lights up. He proudly says math is his favorite subject because “it’s easy,” and when he’s outside the classroom, you’ll most likely find him playing sports, especially soccer.
Since joining TEACH, Kayden has made noticeable progress in reading—particularly with blending words—and he confidently rates his improvement an 8 out of 10.
He’s quick to recommend TEACH to other students, saying, “it helps a lot,” because he knows just how much extra support can make a difference. Kayden dreams of becoming a singer one day, and he believes tutoring is helping him move closer to that goal by building his confidence and strengthening his reading skills—skills he imagines using to bring his future lyrics to life!
Independent Reseach & Evaluation
San Joaquin Community Data Co-Op is an independent research and evaluation organization commissioned by Give Every Child A Chance (GECAC) to evaluate program performance. Research findings indicate that GECAC is producing outcomes for children and youth consistent with programs regarded as “best practice” within the after school education field.
